Hello Henar and the rest of the Lab support team. FYI I sent that email to the following individuals - I believe this captures all the recent people with queries. Thanks for all your support, - John. This is not supported in the current version of the GE - all access requires an authenticated token. However, based on your interest we will see if and when we can deliver this type of functionality. We see that Open Stack supports making containers (not objects) public read. And we see that the CDMI specification supports ACLs. So we will see if we can deliver at least limited support for making containers public read in our CDMI for OpenStack implementation. In the meantime, one workaround you could consider is to have your application or webserver download the objects using authentication, and then cache and serve them to your users from your application or web server. There is one other remote possibility: it *might* be possible to develop client-side javascript that can send an authenticated request to the object store. Of course it would need to request or be given an authorised token. I also have a strong suspicion that cross domain security limitations imposed by modern web browsers may prevent these type of calls - so check those limitations before spending any time on this approach. If you have any other feedback please let me know. Thank you. - John. PS the user guide has recently been updated with bash and python examples to illustrate ways of authenticating and accessing the object store. https://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/Object_Storage_-_User_and_Programmers_Guide. I will update the doc with the above. ------------------------------------------------------------- Intel Ireland Limited (Branch) Collinstown Industrial Park, Leixlip, County Kildare, Ireland Registered Number: E902934 This e-mail and any attachments may contain confidential material for the sole use of the intended recipient(s).
