Dear Patrício Batista,

thank you for the report of the issue! This will help us to eliminate any
potential problem on our infrastructure. Regarding the issue you faced this
was arisen due to a not well configuration part in the available flavors on
our Athens_UPRC region, in the cloud portal. In particular, both flavors,
m1.tiny and m1.small did not supported specific size for the attachment of
extra volumes on the VM (root disk and ephemeral disk size was 0). So after
the reconfiguration of the flavors, by adopting the provided guidelines for
their configuration, we have updated the capabilities of the m1.small flavor
so as to allow the attachment of a new volume on the VM.

We have already tested it by creating an instance with our tenant, in our
Athens_UPRC region, by using the Ubuntu Server 14.04.1 (x64) image with
them1.small flavor. After the creation of the instance, we created a volume
(5GB size) and we attached on the VM (/dev/vdc). By connecting via ssh on
the VM and executing the command fdisk -l on the CLI the new volume is
visible as attached on the VM (I have 2 screenshots attached).

So the only you have to do is to create again the VM by using the flavor
m1.small and any image you prefer, and then you have to attach the new
volume to your VM.

So please feel free to contact us for any other issue or potential
clarification, by adding and assigning a ticket (for Athens_UPRC) to Athens
II Node Helpdesk.

Best Regards,

Dimitris Kelaidonis
