Dear Ana,
I had a similar situation with automatically generated security groups, but yesterday this did not prevent me to create and reach my VM.
Today you may experience some problem in the platform FIWARE due to installation (scheduled for this morning) of the new component IDM. So I would suggest to try again in the late afternoon or tomorrow.
Please let us know tomorrow if the problems persist, so I will forward your issues (including Blueprint instance creation) to the Spanish support team.

Best regards
Marco

Hello again,

I didn't have the rule for ICMP....I'll try with that today. Now, I'm afraid I have some bigger problems. In my project, there seem to be automatically generated security groups and networks which I cannot delete because they seem to be in use, although I have terminated all the instances.
Error deleting security group sg_00000000000000000000000000011663_agri5-Marketplace-1-011663. Cause: 400 Error
{"badRequest": {"message": "Security Group e360aa66-99a9-4962-a514-91990a4e2ef4 in use.", "code": 400}}

These groups then create conflict when I'm trying to install new instances although I'm assigning them my manually created "group1". I tried deleting the entire project from my account but the site just crashes when I click on "Terminate" and the Cloud doesn't allow me to switch to new project. Further on, I tried once again with installation of blueprint and the error was Error: Infrastructure error Error in parse response after deploy the VM 3752f96f-97e3-415b-a413-9a40cde8bb2e
although that's probably consequence of everything above.

I think it's obvious I need to start from beginning again, so at this point I would appreciate advice on how to terminate everything that went wrong.

Best,
Ana

Dear Ana,
I have just tried with success to create and reach some VMs in Spain2 region with my account.
So, if you are still experiencing problems in the reachability of your VMs in Spain2 region, please:

- check your security group, adding a security rule for TCP port 22 so that you could reach the VM. To enable ping, add a rule for ICMP protocol (value -1 in Type and Code fields).

- verify if your keypair file is correct.

- although I think you did already this, use the user 'root' to connect via ssh. For example, on Linux: ssh -i file_keypair.pem root@ <VM-floating-IP>. The .pem file must have only read /write access rights (chmod 600 <your-keypair> .pem).

You can find more info about how to access via ssh at link http://www.slideshare.net/flopezaguilar/setting-up-your-virtual-infrastructure-using-fi-lab-cloud-32388357 or at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/tagged/fiware (to restrict your search you can use the tag fiware + ssh)

About the creation of a Blueprint instance based on the "Business Framework Consumption" template, please send us the error message found in Spain2 region, so I will be able to forward it to the Spain node support team.

Best regards
Marco

Hello Marco,

actually the same thing happened again, for Spain2 and some other nodes that I tried. Eventually I gave up on the bundle and tried with individual instances, but again I had some problems (see pic). Sorry to bother you so much, but I'm part of the team who got selected in Fractals open call so I really need to get going with these GEs. I would appreciate feedback on I'm I doing something wrong or these kind of errors will keep happening.

Dear Ana,
unfortunately some regions don't support the creation of Blueprint instances.
I would suggest to try Spain2 node which should work well about that.
Let us know if you experience the problem again.

Best regards
Marco

Hello again,

as you might assuming, I'm very new to Fiware. So I believe that ID of my project should be ID 00000000000000000000000000011663

Best,
Ana

Hello Marco,

thanks for replaying so fast. I'm in Lausanne, Switzerland so I selected Zurich as Region. An I'm not really sure about the "tenant", but my project name is "ana-6".

Best,
Ana
