Mental Health: Moving Forwards - The Five year Plan
10th March, Manchester Conference Centre, Manchester

Last week The Five Year Forward View For Mental Health (Paul Farmer &
Jacqui Dyer 2016) was published by the Mental Health Taskforce. The 82-page
report illustrates the importance of building strong foundations for mental
health care in the future. Through examining how to strengthen workforces,
increasing the quality of care given and monitoring leadership within the
NHS, the report recommends how to move forward and tackle inequalities.

Currently one of the largest workforces that the NHS harnesses is the

health care, is of the upmost importance to the NHS as they are working at
the forefront of care. In order to develop the quality of care given the
Mental Health Taskforce have recommended several new and innovative methods
to strength this key workforce.
