Dementia: Quality of Care 2016 27th April 2016, Manchester Conference Centre, Manchester As the Prime Minister has committed to more than doubling the funding for Dementia research in the UK how successful will the Dementia Challenge be? Charities up and down the country are more than doing their bit to help on both local and national levels to improve the lives of families living with dementia. We are inviting charities from across the UK to join us at Dementia: Quality of Care 2016. The programme will be based on the Prime Minister’s challenge on dementia 2020, built around the key themes of quality of care, quality of life, planning for a good death, and spreading innovation and best practice. Presentations from people living with dementia and their carers will be supplemented by practical sessions which are designed to be transferable, encouraging adoption across different teams and organisations. You will have the opportunity to question, discuss and debate the very latest policies, projects and emerging models of care, as well as sharing your own stories and experiences with the conference and contributing to wider thinking about dementia in England. The third annual Dementia: Quality of Care conference will help you to develop a greater understanding of how we can actually create a society where every person with dementia, and their carers and families, receive high quality, compassionate care from diagnosis through to end of life care.
