Dear Sir/Madam, 6th International Conference on Operations Research and Enterprise Systems (ICORES) will be held in Porto, Portugal, on February 23 - 25, 2017. ICORES 2017 aims at a strong multilateral involvement of all the scientific community in all of the conference's topic areas, and we therefore encourage FI‐CORE - Core‐Platform for the Future Internet to submit a proposal for a “European Project Space”. The European Project Space will provide an opportunity for EU funded R&D projects which deal with the emerging areas of Agents and Artificial Intelligence, Operations Research and Pattern Recognition, to present their current results and future plans and goals in the informal setting of demos, posters and panels at the same venue and simultaneously with several related conferences. The European Project Space has the purpose to provide EU projects several possibilities to connect with each other and engage in discussions about their respective research and development, establish opportunities for knowledge and technology sharing, and identify complementary activities and goals which can form the basis for future collaborations, researcher exchange or joint participant at events or in initiatives. European Project Space proposals are accepted until: January 3, 2017 There are several initiatives that may complement your participation at the European Project Space namely: Workshops The purpose of workshops is to provide a more interactive and focused platform for presenting and discussing new and emerging ideas. The format of paper presentations may include oral presentations, poster presentations, keynote lectures and panels. Depending on the number of presentations, workshops can be scheduled for 1 day or 2 days. All accepted papers will be published in a special section of the conference proceedings book, under an ISBN reference, and on CD-ROM support. All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the <http://www.scitepress.org/DigitalLibrary/> SCITEPRESS Digital Library. SCITEPRESS is a member of <http://www.crossref.org/> CrossRef and every paper is given a DOI (Digital Object Identifier). The proceedings are submitted for indexation by Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (ISI), INSPEC, DBLP, EI (Elsevier Engineering Village Index) and Scopus. Workshop Proposals deadline: November 7, 2016 Special Sessions Special sessions are very small and specialized events to be held during the conference as a set of oral and poster presentations that are highly specialized in some particular theme or consisting of the works of some particular international project. The goal of special sessions (minimum 4 papers; maximum 9) is to provide a focused discussion on innovative topics. Each prospective organizer is invited to submit a proposal explaining the targeted topic's novelty/importance and listing the contributing authors and their contributions. Special Session Proposals deadline: November 23, 2016 European Projects Presentations The goal is to present successful and high impact of research of EU funded projects during a twenty minute presentation. Demos The purpose of demos is to provide researchers an exciting and highly interactive opportunity to showcase and discuss live demonstrations of their research projects, innovative and original work and any other prototypes developed. Prospective demo participants are encouraged to demonstrate the effectiveness of their methods as long as they fall within the conference scope. Demonstrations can be made with the help of industrial partners. Demo Proposal deadline: December 29, 2016 EU Project Exhibition - By placing your EU-Project at this conference, you can benefit from: * Presence of a wider and targeted audience of international audience * Opportunity to identify and meet new project partners * Reduced Conference fee for you and your project partners (As long as you bring more than 10 representatives) In attachment I’m sending the Special Session guidelines, so you can have a better idea about the organization of such kind of sessions. Essentially, the Chairs will have to manage the reviewing process and decide about the results to each submitted paper. Through our on-line system these tasks are quite easy to perform. However, if you would like to organize a Special Session with some different format just let me know your ideas. All projects presented at the venue will be invited to write a book chapter related to the project presentations to be included in a book to be published by <http://www.scitepress.org/DigitalLibrary/> SCITEPRESS. This book aims at being an opportunity to disseminate information about the projects presented at the European Project Space in Porto. Besides, we would like to ask FI‐CORE - Core‐Platform for the Future Internet for an academic partnership with ICORES. Academic partnership implies no financial obligation from either side and we would be very pleased to promote FI‐CORE - Core‐Platform for the Future Internet at the conference website, by a logo exchange for example, or in any other ways that you may wish to suggest. Moreover, we would very much appreciate if you could disseminate our conference among your members. We hope to count on your collaboration to succeed in building a high-quality event.
