Description:
(This applications aims to develop a catalogue of intelligent city services using the FIWARE platform, which provides a service infrastructure for the development of Internet of Things applications. On the one hand, through FIWARE users can actively participate in consuming services and contents as well as in their definition. On the other hand, devices can, using FIWARE, publish the information they obtain through sensors. Both devices and users will access an application called MySmartCity that will consist of a set of services that allow storing/recovering information. In this sense, this application will allow the deployment of a network of sensor devices in the context of an intelligent city, which will monitor certain events that occur in the city (weather conditions, traffic, occupancy level, peak and valley times, incident management, geolocation of twits, etc.) and periodically send the information collected to the platform according to a previously specified format, i.e., act as producers of information. We plan to use some of the devices being used as part of the CITISIM project (https://itea3.org/project/citisim.html) to this purpose. The users (citizens) will be able to access the catalogue of services by means of an application installed on their mobile devices and retrieve and visualise the information they wish, i.e. they will act as consumers of the information. The FIWARE platform will allow asynchronous and indirect communication between our devices and the users.
