[Fiware-lab-recovery-tf] Concerns with emails to renew the token

At least my colleague from IBM has a concern and he could not receive the email to change the password (Nitesh P THAKRAR NITESH at fr.ibm.com<mailto:NITESH at fr.ibm.com>) He tried again this afternoon with no success.

Regarding the token, what I have understood is that based on the last update of IDM last Friday there are some concerns and you have to ask for a new token

In the attached email you have a request for help regarding “forgot password” which does not work and I think that orion concern is also a token concern.

Hi Thierry,

sorry but I don’t understand what do you mean with “renew the token”.

“Forgot your password” option it’s working from the begging of the migration. (At least AFAIK). Of course if a user has an specific issue, don’t hesitate to ask us.

Based on the email received on the 5th of May (reset password instruction – FIWARE), I think that many users were not able to renew their password (request were done but no email was send to renew the password) and the same people did not receive any email last Friday explaining that they have to renew the token.

I have tried this afternoon for my own account (used only for test and to receive the same communication than end-users): I have succeed to change the password (I have received the email 5 mn after clicking on “forgot password”) but I also did not received any email to renew the token.
Could you check if there was a dedicated issue last week on this part (change your password) because many users could be waiting for the email so will not submit a ticket immediately. Maybe a new communication explaining “many of you have not already change your password” would be enough.

To renew also the token, I think we have also to resend an email to everybody like a FAQ “If you have any concern in reaching FIWARE Lab, be sure you have renew the token” and provide the process to do it.

My 2 cents to solve some issues.
