[Fiware-lab-recovery-tf] [REMIND] Discontinuation plan for Xifi nodes

Dear FIWARE Lab Nodes,

to complete the transition of users for nodes that will discontinue their provisioning anytime soon we kindly ask to:


  *   review the statements you provided us in the survey of may: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1hsg3zob9BneLz91O-49U4LZpPDoPqjD4fAmEkcZWeuc/edit

  *   review the data we collected (especially for who said “no continuation”) in the following spreadsheet (we derived data from the information in infographics, but some data are not available there e.g. number of tenants and other are missing - probably for some misconfiguration of your ODC): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zsS17sh6wnxw2hcMtC9YZ4o741e8qUJnda2JcAHsC7U/edit#gid=0




The deadline is Friday 11th EOB. Note that that nodes that will switch from Y to N, will be notified to EC (we need to inform commission about that, given that this was included in exploitation plans and previous communication to them).


Following this initial assessment we will:


  1.  Inform FIWARE Lab users that some nodes will start a discontinuation process on 30/09 and that - for community users - if required the nodes will support their migration to a new node that will remain in operation at least till 30/09/2016 (user should provide a preference). The deadline for reply by users will be 18/09. The following survey will be included in the email:https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1i2B_Wfo9bhVyBRfvLhG2swAsOa2XjrswqSIfAKm5Vnw/viewform

  2.  After that, each discontinued node will be in charge to assess the tenants to be migrated and co-ordinate with the destination node for the support to migration. Note that the provisioning of the service should be guaranteed till 30/09, i.e. the migration procedure should start after that date.
