[Fiware-lab] Monitoring of global instances

Dear all,

Just to give you the context of a new improvement we are introducing in FIWARE Lab. We are adding proactive monitoring of the global instances we supply on FIWARE Lab and advertise on the catalogue.

Just an example to explain what I mean. The Store has this in the "instances" tab:

  *   http://catalogue.fiware.org/enablers/store-wstore/instances

If a given instance falls, Nagios will detect it and after a given time it will send an automated message to FIWARE Lab. This will create a ticket. All we need to do is to assign it to the GE owner (before you ask: no, we do not know how to automate it!).  List here:

(you also have the contacts on the left in the catalogue)

I do not expect too much work coming from this but if it becomes a burden we can discuss how to deal with it from FIWARE.

The exact details are not ready yet, my colleagues are exploring how to finalise the setup on Nagios.
