Dear WP13 GEi owners We discussed the following on todays WP13 meeting. I send this conclusion to the whole MIWI list, because we have to deliver ASAP to Juanjo (resp. to PO this week) All WP13 GEi owners have a chance to send corrections or a veto until tomorrow Thursday 10:00 CET. Then this will go officially to Juanjo. As a result of the FI-WARE M30 review we have to define a number of packages we will provide and support in R3. A package is an (integrated) combination of GEi, which make sense to deploy in common. Provide means, have it available in FI-LAB (VM image or better blueprints) for R3 (before end of March) and support means to provide support to UC projects and FI-PPP phase 3 users. Idea is to have only a few packages and combine as many GEis possible and reasonable. (Sidenote: Users can always install combinations of individual GEis themselves) As discussed in todays meeting I see the following two packages for WP13: Package 1: WebTundra (3D-UI, Synchronization), GIS & POI Data Provider, 2D-3D-Capture, CloudRendering (except HW acceleration) always including Server- and Client-Side parts. HW acceleration can be redirected to dedicated infrastructure. + all Application oriented GEis (Real/Virtual-Interaction, InterfaceDesigner, AugmentedReality, VirtualCharacters) delivered on a shared webserver Package 2: XML3D (3D-UI), KIARA-MW, POI Data Provider, Integration-Demo-Application Package 2 might be extended with GIS Data Provider, VirtualCharacters & AugmentedReality after March 2014 Best Regards Christof ---- InIT Cloud Computing Lab - ICCLab http://cloudcomp.ch Institut of Applied Information Technology - InIT Zurich University of Applied Sciences - ZHAW School of Engineering Phone: +41 58 934 70 63 Skype: christof-marti -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
