Hi,

Thought it might be good to update people on our latest Web Rocket 1.1
release. This is after all a actual product we are shipping that is FIWARE
GE based (actually has multiple GEs in it, and more on our servers).

Recently we decided to start working on a Meshmoon Unity exporter/plugin.
This is a C# addon to Unity that lets you export your scenes to Meshmoon
formats with a single click. You can find more info from here
doc.meshmoon.com/index.html?page=unity-plugin. We will be releasing the 1.0
shortly, but you can already download and use the RCs from that page.

We have also been working on rendering improvements in our web browser
client Web Rocket, as this is going to enable us to render more complex
Meshmoon scenes one to one, the release is called 1.1. There are other big
improvements that we will be doing soon after, some of them will be merged
from Ludocrafts excellent work on the FIWARE MIWI Synchronization GE. This
includes network/protocol level and framework support for CustomComponents
and Entity level parenting. We rolled out Entity parenting to our server
last week, so next its time to update WebRocket to support this feature.

The result of this work is that we can now run Unity scenes in the web
browser with FIWARE based technology stack :) Of course we cannot export
your game logic automatically (Unity C#/JS), but we can absolutely export
the game world geometry, materials and textures. Bringing those with a
single drag and drop to a multi-user networked Meshmooon space that has
both native desktop and web client support.
