Dear Olaf, Thank you for your suggestion. As I mentioned, the focus that is planned for the session/panel will be on showing progress towards pilot trials or at least the actual set-up of a node, paving the way for trials and deployment of FIWARE-based applications and services. At this stage we already have confirmation of guests from Senegal, China, Mexico (thanks to FIWARE Mexico), and we are investigating Japan and Canada. In the US, we are already planning to invite the winners of the GCTC Challenge to present their pilot trials (1 or 2 winners). If Bill were to be invited, he would probably be more suitable for a session dedicated to smart cities, rather than this specific international session. Another option could be to have him as a special keynote, e.g. to explain how we could engage further with US cities in the future. We are also investigating with FIWARE Mexico how to do more beyond this specific international session. Ideas are of course welcome. If it makes sense we will organise a dedicated telco (beyond the Summit Programme Committee telco that are already held). Concerning the potential reimbursement of expenses: we are checking this out with the Foundation and the Press Office. We fully agree with you that it would be good to have similar rules for all invited speakers/guests. We will be back shortly to the Mundus Committee members with a response on that issue, that should hopefully be consistent with the rules in general for the Summit.
