Dear members of the FIWARE Mundus Committee, As you know, the next FIWARE Summit will be held in Porto, Portugal, on 8-9 May 2018. It will be again an opportunity for all of you to meet with other FIWARE stakeholders, and also to show how you are contributing to FIWARE at a global scale. I would like to provide you with an update of the planned contribution from FIWARE Mundus to the Porto Summit: - The FIWARE Mundus Committee meeting will be jointly organised with the FIWARE Mexico project. FIWARE Mexico has suggested to held an innovative interactive session where participants will be encouraged to exchange and interact with each other. We are still working at the details but the main topic of the meeting will be the challenges and opportunities for the adoption of FIWARE technologies in the domains of smart cities and smart industry at European and international level. It will be held on Wednesday 9 May in the morning, probably from 9 to 13 (exact timing still to be confirmed). - There are three tracks in the Summit, looking at Smart Cities, Smart Agriculture and Smart Industry. There will be participants from FIWARE Mundus in the first two tracks. We are currently investigating / confirming the participation of representatives from Morocco and China for the Smart Cities track, and from Canada and Senegal for the smart agriculture track. In addition, representatives from Mexico and Japan are already confirmed. Of course, if you are interested in contributing to those tracks, please let us know asap. Looking forward to seeing you in Porto, and in the meantime, I will keep you up to date with the progress and the agenda of the joint FIWARE Mundus/Mexico workshop.
