Dear James,
Thanks for contacting FIWARE Mundus. I will discuss internally to understand who will take in charge your contact
and follow up in more details.

Meanwhile, would you be so kind to detail what type of collaboration are you looking for?

In general the FIWARE Mundus programme has networking and dissemination role. Activities we do include, e.g.:
- Provide access to information related to FIWARE and the creation of a FIWARE Lab node;
- Present FIWARE to local ecosystems;
- Gather interest from FIWARE companies to collaborate with local ecosystems;

Best,
Federico

To this end we have used our in-house developed SCADA system called JSent. For more information on JSent please see jsent.co.za. For a better overview of the traffic features there is a brochure in the downloads section.

Most of the traffic status, traffic sensor data and camera feeds terminate in these control centers. With this experience, and knowledge of the local authorities, it seems that there could be a good fit between ourselves and FIWARE as far as smart city applications are concerned.

Issue id: HELP-6793
Description:
Dear Sir/Madam,

I represent an SME that has been active in traffic control systems in
South Africa for more than 20 years. One of our main functions has been
to integrate and consolidate various sub-systems such as traffic lights
and sensors, variable message signs and vehicle detectors in order to
present a unified UI in the control rooms. To this end we have used our
in-house developed SCADA system called JSent. For more information on
JSent please see jsent.co.za. For a better overview of the traffic
features there is a brochure in the downloads section.

JSent is currently deployed in the main traffic centers in South Africa.
In Durban, Cape Town, Pretoria and Johannesburg. Most of the traffic
status, traffic sensor data and camera feeds terminate in these control
centers. With this experience, and knowledge of the local authorities,
it seems that there could be a good fit between ourselves and FIWARE as
far as smart city applications are concerned.

This email is to explore the possibility of further collaboration with
FIWARE, possibly under the Mundus program.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts,

Best regards,

James Holmes
