Our team is already discussing with some of you regarding details of setup of FIWARE Lab node in India and have initiated required processes. Thank you very much for your continued support so far. In addition to your support to team on queries and required processes for setup of FIWARE Lab Node, May I expect response to some of my queries listed below ? Q1. We are in talks with potential partners in India and some of them would have compliance requirement to host their experiment data/services within India region. Would it be possible for users to specify their preferred region/zone/node where they would like to host their services / resources on FIWARE lab ? Yes, when users create a new account, they have to select a FIWARE Lab region from a drop-down menu. see https://cloud.lab.fiware.org/ —> create account Q2. Is there any constraints on maximum number of resources one can request on FIWARE Lab There is a default maximum quota defined here https://forge.fiware.org/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/Account_Management But of course you can extend these quotas according to the availability of your resources and users needs. and for any longest duration after which they have to return resources back to community? At the link above it also defined that the maximum duration should be 9 months, but again it is up to the node admin to extend this time-frame based on users needs and availability of resources. What is the judgement criteria for prioritizing between various requests coming from different users, individuals or companies ? There are no judgment criteria defined, so far the criterion has always been the queue order of tickets you’ll receive. Q3. We are planning a local event in India for announcing launch of FIWARE lab node and its availability to community and partners somewhere around 3rd week of April. My worry is whether before third week of April, would our node be visible in FIWARE infographic page or not ? Is there any prerequisite in terms of duration of stability of lab, before it is added to infographic page ? If possible, we would like infographic to start displaying India node information, once we enable it through some mechanism during launch event itself. Will it be possible ? Usually, the presence of a node within the infographic map, is one of the last steps as consequence of the federation process and monitoring installation. Since you have this urgent deadline and in case your federation process will be not completed, I could get you in touch with the monitoring team and I guess it will be not a big deal to display static data of your node so that you can show it during the event. An early response from any of you on above questions would be highly appreciable. Regards, Abhinav -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
