[Fiware-ngsi] NGSI notations

Dear members of the FI-WARE NGSI list.

Due to some misunderstanding, I am revising the notation information I sent before. The new information is:

Hyphens between "NGSI" and "9" or "10" have been added, so the correct notation is now "NGSI-9" and "NGSI-10".

For consistency, please do put a hyphen between "NGSI" and "9" or "10", and please feel free to add missing hyphens you might stumble upon in any of the numerous FI-WARE wikis :).

Best regards, and sorry for the confusion
Tobias

Hi Lorant,

I removed all hyphens between "NGSI" and "9" or "10". At least all I could find.

@all: for consistency, please do not put a hyphen between "NGSI" and "9" or "10" anymore, and please feel free to remove any occurrence of that hyphen you might stumble upon in any of the numerous FI-WARE wikis :).

Best regards
Tobias

Hi Lorant,

Ok. I will take care about it. I tried to do the NGSI-9 spec consistent with this inconsistency that had already existed, but I guess that was a bad idea....

Best regards
Tobias Jacobs

Hi Tobias,

Could you have consistent annotation of NGSI 9 and 10 in your wiki? E.g. NSGI-9 (dash) or NGSI 9 (space) everywhere, including sub-wikis etc?
I would have done this myself, but I noticed you started editing it.

Thanks & Br,

Lorant

Well, as far as I understand the source code will be not submitted at all if "private", not even to the project. Right?

Hi Tobias,

It relates to binaries, source codes and all...
There is a "public/private switch" for a GE that triggers different handling for me in the 2 cases.
So IoT Broker is then private.

Thanks & Br,

Lorant

Hi Lorant,

I assume that your question relates to the binaries, right?
In that case our GE part would be private. I would also rather call it "IoT-Broker" than "Isis", as it turned out that hardly anything from Isis has been reused in it.

Have a nice week!
Tobias

Dear All,

Please make a statement preferably today on the private/public character of your GE-s:

-NSN: Cumulocity (implements backend device management): private

-NEC: ISIS (implements backend things management/IoT broker): ???

-TID: Configuration Management (implements backend things management/Configurator): ???

-Ericsson: Gateway (implements gateway device management): ???

-TI: Gateway (implements gateway protocol adapter): ???

-ATOS: SOL CEP engine (implements gateway data handling): ???

-Orange: Gateway (implements gateway data handling): ???

* Public = open to the whole world

* Private = open to the PPP (Use Case Projects, EC ...) but not to the outside world

Please also see https://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fi-ware-private/index.php/FiwareDeliverables to understand where and how information about your private/public GE will go.

I need this information for following the right delivery process.

Thanks & Br,

Lorant
