Dear Tobias, I have just committed a new version of the NGSI10 document (rev 207), with the following changes regarding previous version: -Adding changelog table -Proper use of "contextSubscription" in section 3.10 and 3.11 -Change in 3.1.2 regarding value ID mandatoriness, as discussed in https://lists.fi-ware.eu/private/fiware-ngsi/2013-November/000507.html -Fix list of Allow verbs in section 3.4.3 We think that all the above are straighforward typo corrections or stuff already discussed and agreed (tell us otherwise). In addition, there is a couple of issues that could also be taken into account (such as the one Ken is mentioned about identical structs). I will describe them in separate emails. Regarding parameters, we probably use there in the future (e.g. for paging result). It is ok with us to leave it as is now in the document. Best regards, ------ Fermín El 09/12/2013 9:23, Tobias Jacobs escribió: Hi Ken, Ok, I understand that you have the issues you identified in the binding documents on a separate list, so the binding documents can be edited without getting version conflicts. I do not have a special opinion about the URI parameters, I just had the impression that nobody has ever really mentioned them all the time and therefore they might be irrelevant. On the other hand, this might be also be a consequence of the fact that we haven't used scopes so heavily in general (although we still find them relevant). So my suggestion is to leave them as they are for now, and for another version start thinking about whether to extend or remove them. Off the top of my head I just remember being surprised that some structs defined in the binding docs are identical. Now, about parameters: We still aren't using any URI parameters, we are just finishing the convenience operations and were actually going to start looking into the parameters right this Monday :-). If I remember correctly, they're just used for scopes for ngsi10 conv ops. Do you mean we don't really need it ? We could definitely use URI parameters to minimize payload. The whole idea with conv ops is to make it more comfortable for the clients, so perhaps it would be a good idea to use parameters. However, defining this is a lot of work and it is too late for the 1.0 release. Food for thought ... /KZ On 06/12/13 10:28, Tobias Jacobs wrote: Hi all, I am beginning to produce the documents for the public 1.0 release of the FI-WARE NGSI binding. Fermin, as you have recently suggested some changes, is there some newer document version from you? The one I find in the SVN has not seen a change for quite some time. Another question: do you guys use the possibility of URI parameters that is at the moment defined in the binding? Otherwise we can consider to remove that.
