[Fiware-ngsi] NGSI Attribute domains

Ok, so I guess now this is implicitly supported in NGSIv2.

I was asking just to check what was the FIWARE stance on this, so I can align. I think most partners have also not supported this in NGSI-9/10 v1 as well.

In the case of Orion Context Broker NGSI implementation, we don't support attribute domain. In our case, there are two main reasons for not implementing them:

  *   As long as you can have structured values, you don't need explicit attribute domains. For example, if your use case needs to group all several meteorological parameters you can use something like this:

"meteo" : {

  "temperature": 27.5,

  "humidity": 78.2%

}

  *   No developer have ever requested them (and I have been intensively in contact with them in many hackathons, developres week, workshp, SOF, offline support, etc. during the last years ;). This somehow supports the previous point about they are not actually needed as long as you can have attributes with structured value. I mean, the functionality regarding structured attribute values covers pretty well their use cases needed attributes grouping.

Since January 1st, old domains won't be supported and messages sent to any domain different to @lists.fiware.org will be lost.

Please, send your messages using the new domain (Fiware-ngsi at lists.fiware.org<mailto:Fiware-ngsi at lists.fiware.org>) instead of the old one.
