Hello

As I already quickly mentioned to some of you, I am involved in a project (http://festival-project.eu/) which has some resources to support the organisation of 2 interoperability events. Such events gather engineers having implementations based on a common standard. The event lasts in average 3 days. During these 3 days, teams have to connect to each other, following a pre-defined agenda, and to run de pre-defined test plan. Results (issues met, etc.) are discussed every day and a synthesis is made at the end to be fed back to improve both the implementations and the specification. Several configurations can be imagined spanning from getting all teams on the same place to completely remote events.

We selected these topics for the 2 interop events:

*         Interop #1: FIWARE NGSI

*         Interop #2: DCAT
Which are both in use within the FESTIVAL project.

The exact focus & content of these interop remain to be discussed and fixed.

In respect with timing: NGSI interop could be in October 2016 whereas DCAT interop would take place in Q1/Q2 2016.

On our side we will move forward anyway but think that both interop could support the ISG ICM and increase its visibility. We could give them a strong ISG ICM visibility.

I would thus like to know your interest and feedback on these events:

? Are they of potential interest to you ?

? Would you like to participate and how?

o Technical support for set-up and during event ?

o   Implementation provider?

o   Host?

o   Marketing support?

o   Other ?

I welcome any views here

Kind regards
Franck
