Dear all, Because of Christmas holidays, to prepare the details of the ISG Letter of Invitation, we will only have a few days. Therefore I need to ask you: a) are there any preferred or also any "blocked dates to avoid" for the first CIM meeting (which could be as early as the week of 23.01 or one of the following two weeks). See some dates below. b) does anyone see a problem getting signatures if the final-final copy of the ToR and the Agreement, is sent to us by ETSI on 19th (or even 21st) of December? (Unfortunately we cannot pre-sign something because ETSI may alter some minor text when they reply to us). Here is the background to help you answer: I have checked with ETSI and it is highly probable that the decision from the Director General (DG) will be communicated to us around 19th of December. Assuming we can in 2 or 3 days get at least 4 signatures from the founding members emailed (as scanned copies) to ETSI, the official letter of invitation could be emailed by the DG to the ETSI Members on the 23rd December, announcing a meeting on 23.01.2017. Of course if there are any delays at all, Christmas will put a delay of one or two weeks on that. Below is the (fast scenario) project timeline and potential blocking dates. Please let me know your answers to (a) and please check (b) will not be a problem .... There is now a two-weeks comment-by-email period, then the ETSI Director General will make his decision. Thank you to everyone for your lobbying efforts (I reached 3 people, Cathy also i think, Gilles too) because I think it was a big help. But let us wait and see before buying champagne ;-) Unfortunately the schedule for the decision making means that we can NOT make any official announcement at the FIWARE Summit, but I think we can show an "outreach" presentation which encourages stakeholders to join in creating an ISG and getting some to sign up for a mailing-list which will be created as soon as officially possible. best wishes to everyone, and I look forward to more intense _technical_ collaboration in future :-) /Lindsay ________________________________________ Dr. Lindsay Frost, Chief Standardization Eng. frost at neclab.eu<mailto:frost at neclab.eu> Mobile +49.163.275.1734 NEC Laboratories Europe, Kurfürsten-Anlage 36, D-69115 Heidelberg, Germany.
