Dear Gilles, dear Serge,

could you please contact your ETSI Board representative and
ask him to add extra support for the ISG ?  Apparently the
debates are still go on (and on) !

It is true the final decision is with the Director General but it
would look bad if he ignored a lot of discussion on the Board.

Please reassure Nick that we do not want to revolutionize ETSI,
we just want to get our ISG started!

I would appreciate it if you confirm if/when action can take place.
Meanwhile I am trying to capture the NEC member ...

Dear all,

I learned from NEC representative on the ETSI Board that the consultation
period has been extended to close of business today. I have asked him to
consider if he can find some supporting words which will encourage a
positive conclusion rather than enflame the debate again. Apparently the
issue of IPR is extremely sensitive and several ETSI members have
positions which - if touched in any way - lead to long and emotional debate.

I believe this does not reflect well on the good reputation of ETSI Board.
