Thank you Nuria for very good comments, I'd like to carry some of the identified ideas a bit forward. > Here I would like to add a couple of IMPORTANT comments > > o The workprogramme asks proposals to go for at least some (few) VERY > INNOVATIVE services to experiment with regulations and other “not-so-clear” > conditions. Specifically they say *“solutions that are at the edge of > authorised business practices or regulation (ex: sharing of electricity, > autonomous vehicles) and thus require dedicated testing zones **à* I > think we are missing this > I think this is one key into winning the proposal. There will be competition which is good in this (we've been approached by some). From the City perspective, this is also the main reason why we are in the project. I think we need to have some kind of 'demonstration spearheads' that address this issue. I am not quite sure the general mobility flow sensoring or environment data sensoring briefly discussed last week in the "city needs telco" is on par with the competition. Discussed emergency adapting traffic lights also exist in the market and are in place in several cities already. >From the above-mentioned call text list of examples, in Helsinki we can address the "IoT + autonomous vehicles" with autonomous buses along with our living lab bus platform ('normal' connected bus infrastructure). These combined to the street/traffic IoT and real-time info of the fleet (exists) could be our "IoT piloting platform" over which to co-design the future IoT-enabled mobility services. We can provide as leverage / background 2 autonomous buses + 12 electric buses ("living lab bus" - existing bus as testing service with testing equipment on board), real-time info of all the public transport fleet with open APIs, city's open source mobility navigator, and work on required IoT installations (foreground) to the urban infra. The buses are running on experimental and normal public transport routes with real people. For another proposition to address the question of "edge of authorised business practises and regulation", I would like to propose Antwerp/iMinds would build a complementing mobility spearhead over their ICT-30-2015 project AGILE, which has some quite cool drone & IoT activities. Best Roope We are still bit battling on who we are able to have to London. > > > *Nuria de Lama* > > > > Research & Innovation > > ICT Program Manager > > Vice-Secretary General Big Data Value Association > > > > M +34 680645692 > > T +34 91214 9321 > > F +34 91754 3252 > > nuria.delama at atos.net > > Albarracín 25 > > 28037 Madrid > > Spain > > www.atosresearch.eu > > es.atos.net > > > > Feel free to download our booklet at > > > http://atos.net/en-us/home/we-are/insights-innovation/research-and-innovation.html > > > > > This e-mail and the documents attached are confidential and intended > solely for the addressee; it may also be privileged.
