Dear Martin, It was really great the time spent in London, it was an excellent push towards an 5 starts proposal. Regarding having cities from Mexico and Asian it's a excellent proposal. What do you think about having also Brazilian cities? I believe we could have at least two Brazilian cities as followers (Recife and Uberlandia). We are working with both in several projects... With Kind Regard. The echoes from Brussels had their impact, and my thoughts are still with you who we're most affected. I'm in Amsterdam, en route back to Aarhus. Should have been through Brussels. The next week is crunching time. Especially the three application themes, and their relation to the reference zones who "ticked" them, will be decisive. I have asked Remco (Philips) to lead the process around this, following his excellent facilitation, and it would be natural that he also leads the activities in the work plan of creating the services. He is supported by the group around WP3 and the cities/partners involved in each theme. We have established that the application themes will be developed and deployed in a heterogeneous manner which is different depending on the reference zone in question. Some elements are co-created by the application theme developers, but others are specific to the local conditions. I'll be in Eindhoven Tuesday with both Remco and Adrian to hammer out the last details in the mechanics of the theme applications. Don't wait for a ping to procedure the text with your name on. And be sure to let Mirko and Mikko know when you're ready for more. All formal information should be in: partner descriptions, PIC, reference zone descriptions. If it isn't, then please provide it asap. The deadline was today. We have conversations with a Mexican city and an Asian city to join. They would bring their own budget, and their role would be slightly different initially, depending on how we can set up a proper development process. I'll have a first stab at the effort distribution as soon as the WP/task and theme structure is stable. Contribution to the writing process is expected from all partners. Next meeting is Wednesday March 30 at 10 CET / 9 UK / 11 Finnish time. All new writing contributions should be in by then. I'll return with an update early next week. (Monday is Easter holiday for many.) Greetings to your and your loved ones.
