Here you are some extracts form our press release about this topic: INCENSe receives more than 230 applications from 30 European countries in its first open call for startups focused in CleanTech and energy. * INCENSe is the only accelerator within the European Commission’s FIWARE Accelerate programme focused on CleanTech and energy * INCENSe will select in its first open call 14 startups that will receive a grant of up to 150.000 EUR. * First open call was launched on October 2014 and second open call will be started on June 2015 25th January 2015 INCENSe, the only accelerator within the European Commission’s FIWARE Accelerate programme focused on CleanTech and energy, has closed its first open call with the reception of 230 applications from 30 European countries, being Spain and Italy the source of more than half of them. 85% of the applications have been presented by SMEs and the other 15%, by entrepreneurs. The evaluation of applications by independent experts will begin soon and the process will end with a Pitching Day in April, where the best proposals will be defended by the candidates, selecting the 14 winning proposals, that will receive up to 150.000 EUR and acceleration services. INCENSE launched last 15th October its first open call to select the first group of 14 startups that through <http://www.incennse-accelerator.com> www.incennse-accelerator.com have presented their projects focused in clean energy and based on FIWARE technology. Their proposals must be applicable to the following categories: Energy Efficiency & Home Automation, Renewable energy, Renewable Forecasting Solutions, Smart Grids, Energy Storage, Advanced Diagnostic & Automation Solutions, e-Mobility, Cyber-Security or Digitalization of Energy through ICT. INCENSe’s objective is to accelerate 42 European start-ups that have innovative CleanTech products and services. The first 14 winning startups will be selected in the first call, and in next June, the second call will be open to select another 28.
