Hello, This is Jose Costa-Requena from AALTO Univeristy in Helsinki, I just talked on the phone with Mr. Jose Luis Peña Sedano concerning these items: 1) The topic we will be proposing is targeted to the topic "Middleware for efficient and QoS/Security-aware invocation of services and exchange of messages". We would like to confirm whether our project proposal is in the scope of the call. The project consists of the concept of "Collaborative Firewalls" where we intend to develop new data structure and protocol that allows inbound and outbound Firewalls across Internet to exchange information about the traffic to decide whether it should be discarded or not. We intend to take commercial and/or open source FW and implement the proposed identity management and collaborative protocols for enabling this source based traffic filtering. Thus, the question is whether this proposal is in the scope of the security topic or not. In our proposal we plan to use either commercial or Open Source Firewalls (depending on question 2 below) so is it expected that the proposed project should use pre-defined platforms given by FI-WARE or do we select the required platforms as long as later on we offer the implementation of the proposed collaborative protocols as Open Source so they can be part of FI-WARE components? 2) Will the standard consortium building rules apply where the consortium should be formed by a minimum 3 partners from different countries? Or is it acceptable if our consortium is formed by 2 partners from the same country (e.g. we intend to build small consortium e.g. AALTO university + 1 SME manufacturing FW)? Thanks, Regards jose
