To the members of the PCC,
I am not sure if I have missed any e-mail, but we still lack many details on the agenda for the next FIWARE Plenary meeting. I asked Pepe about that but it seems Juanjo is taking care of it. Juanjo, do you have a more advanced draft of the agenda even if still not approved. This would help to organize our logistics (at this moment we do not know if all people have to travel the four days or that is not needed; unfortunately prices are increasing every day).
In any case I would like to attract your attention to several issues:
· The need of approaching exploitation & standardization activities in a serious way. I already sent an e-mail to TID to be sure that there will be a working session for WP11 in the meeting and it will not be held in parallel to those of other WPs, since the presence of all the organizations (and I think all WP leaders) is important at this stage to relate technical and business concepts as Arian pointed out
· It should also include standardization. NEC has preliminary accepted the leadership of T11.4 provided some conditions are fulfilled. I think they are reasonable, as I informed Telefónica after the discussions with NEC and Thomas. This should be coherent with the organization and presence in the corresponding session in Torino
· Finally there are many events under preparation for the Second Half of the year. This, together with many other issues in WP12, require a deep analysis and therefore I would like to get your support to organize a session on WP12 where we can explain:
o Activities running in the context of the PPP and led by CONCORD (Dissemination WG)
o Preparation of events (the ones supported by FIWARE as such and those of more general purpose within the PPP) à see the e-mail from CONCORD (DWG) that I forward to you
o Approach to dissemination and collaboration
§ Strategy & responsibilities
§ Procedures
§ Deliverables
§ ...

Dear FI-PPP Dissemination managers,
CONCORD is coordinating the preparation of some important FI-PPP sessions/meetings part of important events coming up especially during OCTOBRE 2011. The CONCORD team has been working in the preparations of these sessions/meetings and it is now time to engage with all the FI-PPP projects.
This email is only informative and hopefully it will help you to get a high level view of all these events. A concept paper for all these sessions has been created/is under development and it will be shared with you all in separate emails to help in the different conversations.
The list of EVENTS is:
1. THE 3RD EUROPEAN INNOVATION SUMMIT: OFFICIAL SESSION held at THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT (BRUSSELS) on OCTOBER 11th. Name of the Session "Future Internet - Smart Cities - Coming your way".
FI-PPP projects will be contacted very soon by Anna Kivilehto (ENoLL) /Herman Rucic (IBBT) with more information.
2. OPEN DAYS 2011: A SIDE EVENT to the official programme of the Open Days is held at the COMMITTE OF THE REGIONS (BRUSSELS) on OCTOBER 13th. The session will be focused on "Regional Innovation through the Future Internet PPP".
FI-PPP projects will be contacted very soon by Petra Turkama with more information.
(Please note that the previous 2 events are happening during the same week and in Brussels)
3. FUTURE INTERNET WEEK - POZNAN (OCTOBER 24-28)
- FI-PPP meetings (Steering Board, Architecture Board and DWG meeting) on Tuesday 25th
- FI-PPP - ENoLL joint session (voted session) on Wednesday 26th
- FI-PPP Stand + FI-PPP Demo (Wed 26th night)
FI-PPP projects will be contacted very soon by Petra and/or myself for the preparation of the FI-PPP meetings and to be actively engaged in the session on Wednesday and the preparations for Stand + Demo.
4. ECHALLENGES e-2011 Conference, held in Florence on OCTOBER 27th. MATCHMAKING WORKSHOP (16:00 to 17:30)
eChallenges is a yearly conference with a specific emphasis on technology implementation and the lessons learned from concrete experiences. This is the twenty-first in a series of Annual Conferences supported by the European Commission and hosted by national governments, which regularly attracts over 600 delegates from leading commercial, government and research organisations around the world. A Matchmaking Workshop has been scheduled, with the special goal of engaging this audience (with particular emphasis on the Living Lab community, SMEs, and regionalpolicy makers) in active collaboration with the FI PPP Use Case projects.
You will be contacted by Jesse Marsh, the Concord responsible for this event, to arrange your participation. Note that participation will also entail registration at the Conference.
