Dear all -- let me clarify the point asked by Nuria
>>>
Do not ask me why this task came to me (being IBM the coordinator ?as you
can see, the recipient of the letter of support is Yaron- and taking into
account that IBM is the leader of the Cloud chapter in FI-WARE).

This is a resubmission of a proposal from call 8 (improved, revised).
FI-Ware already provided the attached letter of support for CloudWave, in
Call 8.
Now, in Call 10, ATOS was joined to the project as the exploitation
partner.. and Clara kindly agreed to take care of renewing the Letters.
Thanks. Regards
Yaron

Hi Pepe, all,

Atos is currently working on a proposal for the topic 1.2 (Call10) that
fits very much with the developments of FI-WARE in the Cloud chapter.

The consortium, led by IBM, would like to get a letter of support for the
proposal as a mutual support to extend what FI-WARE is doing. As you know,
this does not express any formal commitment, but an interest and a
willingness to collaborate, which we think is an added value for both
initiatives.

Do not ask me why this task came to me (being IBM the coordinator ?as you
can see, the recipient of the letter of support is Yaron- and taking into
account that IBM is the leader of the Cloud chapter in FI-WARE). In any
case it is like that and I would like to know if this could be signed on
behalf of our project.

I attach the LoS where you can find the reasons why this interest and
potential collaboration is justified as well as the abstract of the
proposal (see below).

Pepe, let me know if this is possible and when so that I can confirm the
situation to the coordinator.

Proposal abstract
CloudWave will introduce a second generation cloud software stack,
enabling the development and delivery of adaptive cloud-scale services
which dynamically adjust to changes in their environment so as to optimize
quality of service and resource utilization. In doing so, CloudWave will
advance the competitiveness of the EU economy by providing a powerful
foundation for creating innovative, sustainable Future Internet services,
realising the full promise of cloud computing.

CloudWave will deliver (1) an open architecture and reference
implementation of a new cloud software stack, extending current cloud
technology with capabilities for intelligent adaptation of cloud services;
and
(2) an agile development environment, tools and methods for development of
reliable cloud-scale services, based on the new stack.

Scientifically, CloudWave will advance the state-of-art along three
dimensions:
* Execution Analytics: A new framework where specialized algorithms
dynamically analyse cloud infrastructure and application behaviour,
seamlessly integrate data pertaining to physical and virtual
resources and IoT elements, and provide consolidated feedback to drive
service evolution and adaptation * Coordinated Adaptation: A new software
technology where cloud applications and cloud
infrastructure collaboratively and automatically undertake complex
adaptation actions, ensuring quality of service and effective utilization
of ICT resources
* Feedback-Driven Development: A new agile approach for developing cloud
applications, where developers exploit execution analytics to
incrementally determine and evolve application features,
extensions and optimizations, based on observed user needs Using three
industry case studies, we will demonstrate how the CloudWave architecture,
where the above innovations play a key and novel role, supports emerging
Future Internet services and provides high and quantifiable improvements
in service delivery quality, productivity, reliability and cost.

Best regards and thanks in advance,
