[Fiware-pcc] Dangerous statements for FI-WARE

Dear colleagues of the PCC,

I take the freedom of copying & pasting a part of an e-mail that Olaf has just sent (regarding the lack of speakers for the Hamburg event). These e-mails are read by other partners involved in the FI PPP as well as the EC representatives.

This kind of statements put in danger whatever credibility the FI-WARE technology may have. I assume that we will discuss this in detail for FI-CORE, but it is already damaging at this stage the future opportunities of FI-WARE...


      We assume, that in fact there are not so many experienced developers, which lead to the conclusion, that the total capacity is very, very, VERY small to provide support.

      We have adressed this GAP frequently, and to speak frankly, we see no improvement. Even if it might be the case, that late september there will be some people nominated via FI-Core, it is raindrop on the fire! We are - all - aiming to adress 1000+ SME, which will be a quote of the total community we have to adress and to teach, in 2015. If, based on our elaborated experience, it is not possible to staff one single one for a 45min speach in Hamburg, what should be happen if we are facing a group of 10.000-20.000 webdevelopers, which are giong to be convincend via practical and pragmatic trainings?

      So far as i can see, we are staffing one ship only facing a armada of well staffed fast boats. Frankly, how we should win in that battle?

Keep it private at this stage, but I hope I can at least motivate one of you to attend the meeting in Hamburg.
