From jhierro at tid.es Tue Mar 5 07:31:53 2013 From: jhierro at tid.es (Juanjo Hierro) Date: Tue, 05 Mar 2013 07:31:53 +0100 Subject: [Fiware-secure-cloud] Mailing list for discusion on Security Monitoring in the Cloud Message-ID: <51359159.3010208@tid.es> Hi Pascal, Alex, One of the APs from our last WPLs/WPAs follow-up confcall was to create a mailing list for discusion on Security Monitoring in the Cloud. I have created the fiware-secure-cloud at lists.fi-ware.eu mailing list for this purpose. I have initially included both of you as well as Daniel in the mailing list. Please let Miguel and me know who should be also in the list so that we can add them. Miguel: I'm going to be off-line most of the time today, so please try to respond to the request of Pascal and Alex regarding this and send a mail to the mailing list whenever someone new is added so that everyone knows when all people to be added in the list has been actually added. Alex, you mentioned that two attack scenarios had been identified during the Cloud WP F2F meeting in Haifa, so I guess it would be nice if you share them in this mail list (once the whole list of subscriptors is done) and then discuss them on the mailing list. Mainly addressed to Cloud Hosting and the thread of discussion newly created and reflected by the secure-cloud mailing list we wanted to share it also with other chapters being said Security Monitoring would also be aiming at being used in their context to protect against some specific chapter's threats that would have been identified and reported to us (let me here remind as per Rome meeting specific action which was set on this - and which is btw still pending ...). In the attached excel you will see the information requested by each of the major modules of Security Monitoring architecture (the way it has been defined) clearly stating why it is needed (the rationale) and examples of the way it is expected to be passed to us (SecMon GE owner). In order to get us moving regarding integration of the Security Monitoring GE in FI-WARE we'd like to hear how we could gain access to the information we are requested. So hearing first from people from Cloud Chapter enlisted in the secure-cloud mailing list. In the meantime this doesn't prevent other chapters to also report their views and information they could contribute from their side and in complement of information provided by Cloud. Looking forward to reading you soon on this hot topic. Best Regards, Pascal & Daniel -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
