Hi everyone, after the first mail from Juanjo, explaining the background of the initiative, let me be quite operative about what resources this working group could profit from and listen to suggestions of what are members' interests. A.1.- USE OF DATA MODELS There are close to 600 data models currently in the repository. Find here two resources for searching and retrieving the data model you need - If you know the name of the data model. You can search by its name or the subject (group of data models). smartdatamodels.org -> Main menu - > Data Models -> List of data models - If you don't know you can search by any of the 9 criteria available. smartdatamodels.org -> Main menu -> Search These resources will take you to the specific repository in github where you can grab the specification, the examples or the schema. Every Monday 14:00 CEST we hold a meeting, named open session, for solving doubts or listen to proposals of new data models. Put your proposals in this presentation. A.2.- CONTRIBUTE TO THE DATA MODELS We do our best to make it simple with the contribution manual. (smartdatamodels.org -> upper menu -> contribution manual). - Smart Data Models provide to your projects the added value of the open standardization which is something quite appreciated in some sectors. - We also provide dissemination to the projects using Smart Data Models. There is always a ADOPTERS.yaml file in every data model. - Additionally we provide recognition of the contributors to the models in a subject through the CONTRIBUTORS.yaml file. It is always possible that an existing project can contribute some of their data models to the initiative. Here there is a survey about what are your motivations to do it. B.1- NEW DATA MODELS. YOUR NEEDS The input of the community is the core of our development. So we will prioritize our efforts accordingly and therefore is critical for the initiative to know what 'regulation/standard' you are using in your projects that needs to be mapped into data models. B.2- WORKS OF THE GROUP. PERIODIC MEETINGS Like any other group I guess it deserves to have a meeting once a month. So please use this doodle to show your availability for this first meeting. Agenda: 1.- Questions regarding initiative (use and contribution) 2.- Current status 3.- New data models to come 4.- Regulations to be adopted / mapped.
