Dear Harald, I hope this email find you well. As you may remember, the Walton Institute in South East Technological University (Waterford, Ireland) recently undertook a study “Boosting the twin transition in agriculture and a resilient innovation ecosystem – Standards and platformisation in the spotlight” carried out under Contract LC-02869828 of the European Commission. The objective of the study is to gather multi-stakeholder perceptions around standards, quasi-standards and digital platforms (with a particular focus on how these apply within the AgriTech sector), with a view to examining how tailored supporting measures and strategic actions can be deployed to speed up a fair and socio-economically sustainable green transition and increase competitiveness of European innovators and the agricultural sector. Arising from that study is a draft report which summarises the key findings and associated recommendations. As a follow-on step, we are organising an online workshop with a selected group of key stakeholders, to review and discuss the outputs and to provide additional feedback, recommendations and insights. The workshop outputs will be integrated into a final version of the report, which will be distributed publicly. A copy of the report and presentation materials will be circulated to workshop participants one week in advance. I would be delighted if you could attend this workshop as a representative of FIWARE. If it is not possible for you to attend, I would very much appreciate it if you could propose an alternative attendee from your organisation. Please RSVP to this email to confirm your (or your representative’s) attendance. Date: October 8th, 2024 Time: 1400-1700 CET Link: Will be circulated to confirmed attendees.
