Dear Sebastian, Juanjo and all,

I entered the information in the form provided by Sebastian, but then
the Google server crashed and I am not sure the info was registered. I
want to make sure that you have all the necessary updates in time for
finalising the agenda, and also planning the working meetings. So I
prefer to send this email. Besides, I am not available on Friday for the
next telco -Fede or José should participate on behalf of Mundus.
*
**Tuesday, December 13th*, morning, _internal Mundus Committee meeting_.
List of issues to be discussed:
• Presentation of the draft mission statement of the “Mundus
Committee” within the FIWARE Foundation, and discussion / exchange of ideas
• Priorities for international cooperation: geographical priorities,
thematic priorities, top-down vs. bottom-up
• Coordination of PR and communication activities, “FIWARE Mundus”
branding
• Whom to involve in the committee: FIWARE projects, stakeholders,
external guests…?
• Agree upon the issues to be discussed at Foundation level e.g.
support to set-up of nodes/instances; private initiatives vs. FIWARE
initiatives; priorities at international level (any?) in line with the
Foundation’s strategic priorities -or not? etc.

Proposed issues for discussion in _other committees_:
FIWARE Accelerators: how to best engage / select start-ups and/or
accelerators for international activities?
FIWARE iHubs: shall we look at initiating iHubs outside Europe? Are
there existing iHubs that are interested in international activities, if
yes which ones?
FIWARE Press Office: how do we select events in which FIWARE shall
participate / sponsor / contribute to, at international level?

Proposed issues for discussion in the afternoon -_cross-committee
meeting_ and with Foundation:
How do we coordinate among committees (i.e. for the issues raised in the
morning involving more than one committee)?
What level of (technical or business) support should be expected from
the Foundation vs. FI-Next vs. private companies offering services?

*Day 2: Wednesday, December 14th*
FIWARE Summit Conference Track, _15:45 – 16:30 FIWARE Mundus: Panel
session on international FIWARE activities_
Draft list of panellists:
• Chris Greer, Director of the Smart Grid and Cyber-Physical Systems
Program Office, and National Coordinator for Smart Grid
Interoperability, NIST, USA
• Mokhtar Tazi, CEO, Maroc Numeric Cluster, Morocco
• Miguel González from ITESM or Hugo Estrada from Infotec, Mexico
/(their participation is confirmed, we just do not know yet which one
will be in the panel)//
/• Ajith Balakumar, CEO and Founder, Forthcode Technologies, India
We may have another guest from the Inter-American Development Bank
(response pending). Federico Alvarez will start with a presentation of
the status of international FIWARE activities, and I will moderate the
panel session.
Issues to be raised with the panellists during the session:
• global cooperation: is it required? Why?
• the role of FIWARE in the mobilization of local innovation ecosystems
• set-up of FIWARE Lab Nodes / instances: why is it required, or not?
• how is FIWARE helping in the (global) replicabilility and
scalability of solutions and applications?

*Day 3: Thursday, December 15th*
I confirm the participation of Chris Greer from NIST in 10:45 – 11:30
Panel FIWARE as a de facto standard: OASC, TM Forum, GCTC, GSMA.
In addition, we would like to consider a possible meeting with external
guests, with the following objectives:
• B2B meetings with international guests to better understand the
issues they are facing in adopting FIWARE
• Working meeting with external guests: presentation of the draft
mission statement, exchange of ideas, how to incentivize international
participation in the Foundation and in the Mundus committee, what type
of organisations / individuals should be invited

I think that's all for now.

Best regards,

Jacques
