[Fiware-summit-program-committee] Official postponement statement for the Summit Committee Call

Dear FIWARE Global Summit Committee members,

Please let me share with you all this message from our CMO Cristina
Brandtstetter.

It's been a wild month in the world, also for FIWARE Marketing: many
of our activities on stages around the world have been moved to digital
events, conferences and meetups are being canceled left and right, others
postponed to fall or even pushed straight into 2021.

Massive events like Mobile World Congress, Hannover Messe, SAP Now or
IFAT held on as long as they could, but ultimately the local government
either strongly recommended, or demanded, that the events should not being
held at the original dates.

The priority amidst the coronavirus outbreak is that everyone prioritizes
their health, and does their part to prevent the spread of the virus.

This is also *impacting our FIWARE Global Summit organization*.

So where does that leave our biggest yearly community event, our FIWARE
Global Summit ?
We are currently working hard to make sure to find the best and
value-bringing setup for the Global Summit that with its 8th edition will
also focus strongly on business creation.

While we are carefully watching the market, travel and gathering laws
situation, we are currently working on updates.

We therefore ask you for a little more patience and have our *Summit
Committee Panning Call in one week from now, instead of tomorrow at 9am CET*
.
