Initial Comment:
We have wrongly releases DATA-samson-broker 1.2.1 in Files at FIWARE PPP Restricted project as public (probably because we don't pay attention to the publi/private checkbox at package creation date).

We haven't find an option to edit the visibibility level of a package after creation, so probably we need an administrative action to do that, so we open this ticket.

Could you change the visbility of the above package from public to private or tell us how to do it, please?

PD. I have set this issue as "critical" as the situation in which the package is available to all the Internet is not desirable for us...

I've asked in the project mailing list. Let's see if we can avoid modifying by hand the database to change the "Publicly Viewable" flag.

This does not work like this. You cannot change it once it is created. I made a test with the 4 cases under the Support project: 

1) Package created as "Public" + Active (public_package_active)
2) Package created as "Public" + Hidden (public_package_hidden)
3) Package created as "Private" + Active
(private_package_active)
4) Package created as "Private" + Hidden
(private_package_hidden)

The conclusion is that both parameters are independent. 

Status means whether it is visible or not (the user wants to show it the audience of the package or keep it to himself)

Publicly viewable (fixed at creation time and apparently not modifiable) maens whether the audience is project members or all the internet. Apparebntly this does not differentiate between anonymous users and forge users not in the project.

For packages the workflow is pretty similar:
- go to files
- click on "admin"
- change the status of the package from "active" to "hidden"

The hidden files packages will be only visible to members of the project.

Dear Fermín, sorry for the delay.

I would like to shed some light about how to change the visibility of a release. You have to go to "Files" section. Then click on "Admin", Releases "Edit Releases". Again on the new window click on "File [Edit]" in the release you want to edit. The last step is to change the "Status" and click on the "Refresh button".

Given that the ticket has not been solved so far and that we don't want to have the files exposed any more, I have opted for deleting the whole package, then creating again a private.

So, I think we can close the issue.
