Summary: How do I change the order of the tracker's fields
Severity: Normal
Workflow State: Assigned

Initial Comment:
I'm downloading CSV files from the tracker.
I need to download them having records' fields orderer in a certain way. Is it possible to define the order the fields are placed in the record? Maybe it has to do with the order they were created.

Hi Manuel:

If I understood you this time, the easy way of doing this, is moving the columns to the desired order once you exported them in a spreadsheet software.

If this is not the case, the complex way is working directly against the DB Server, making the necessary queries but this is a time consuming and probably a complex task.

Hope this help you!!
Best regards

Hi Pedro, no problem. I hope your personal issues were well.
I'm afraid I need to ask again because I'm not asking about the order of the records, which are the rows, but the order of the fields, which are the columns.
I need to process the input from several trackers, so I'm trying to get the fields in the same order. So my questions is about the fields, columns order.
Thanks again! Sorry for these questions!!

Hi Manuel:

Sorry for the late reply, I had some personal issues, to resolve today.

Before exporting the tracker to a .csv file, you can use the fields in the "Simple Filtering and Sorting" tab to order the data or build a more complex query in the "Advanced Query" tab.

If you need, a more complex order, you can open the .csv in a spreadsheet software to view if the order that you need can be done with this software, like openOffice, Numbers or Excel.

Hope this help you!!

Best regards
