Dear GE Owners, I’m coming back to this message to inform you that, as you may know, the formal and QA reviews to courses is ended a while ago, and many of you got open issues to JIRA for improving the training content published to the FIWARE Academy. The final version of the deliverable D3.2.4. v2 - Training courses report, is to be submitted at the end of this week. In this report we will copy all the courses published to the FIWARE Academy, in order to reflect the actual situation of this platform. Though each GE Owner is free to continue modifying and improving his/her course(s) published to the FIWARE Academy in the following weeks/months, nonetheless it would be good to have this final deliverable reporting as much as possible courses as in their final shapes - after the “QA restyling” let’s say -, also to demonstrate that effort was spent in many cases to improve training for FIWARE users. Thus, I'm asking to those GE Owners that had a JIRA issue assigned (opened by me or by the QA team) to please do your best to address it within Thursday the 29th , at least for what concerns the formal checks reported there. Since on Friday the 30th we will close the deliverable and your courses will be reported as they are. Should you have doubts don’t hesitate to ask me. One of the deliverables due within this task is the Training courses report (D3.2.4): the first version was submitted at M9, the second one (D3.2.4.2) is due at September. This deliverable is a “picture” of the actual situation of the courses published to the FIWARE Academy, and will report titles and descriptions of the training material that you published there. Thus, your contribution to this deliverable will be the effort you spent/will spend to update/improve/create training material. As you know, we already published dedicated guidelines the FIWARE Wiki to give some formal criteria for creating efficient training courses: https://forge.fiware.org/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/Working_with_the_FIWARE_Academy#Course_Evaluation_for_Efficient_Training. Now those guidelines are updated taking into account also some requirements coming from the Quality Assurance team. Engineering, as task leader, is going to have a final round of reviews of published courses (only on the basis of the formal criteria suggested) and any relevant issue will be reported to you through JIRA. Also the QA Team is starting to review the FIWARE Academy. So, to avoid opening two different JIRA issues on the same course (one coming from the Task Leader and the other from the QA Team), we cooperated to produce a unique list of requirements to have a unique JIRA issue to report you what to improve/modify on your courses. In the list or requirements published to the wiki (and so will be in the JIRA issue) we clearly specified which are the requirements that will be reviewed by the QA team and which are the "old" formal requirements. Please don’t hesitate to ask me should you have doubts.
