KAS and KMC are no longer needed, and all references in the documentation should have disappeared. I've been reviewing the docs in the Catalogue, and indeed there is no reference to these two components. Could you please provide the location where the two components are mentioned?

KMS is the central part of Kurento, and it is installed in the Blueprint and in the image, as a service. You can control this service with service _kurento-media-server \{start|stop|restart\}_
