[Fiware-tech-help] Setting up own FIWARE portal

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Marko Kuder and I am working for XLAB, one of the partners at
the FINESCE project, the smart energy use case of the FI-PPP. We have
been considering whether we could set up our own FIWARE infrastructure,
not in the sense of a node federated to the public FIWARE portal (we do
not have such a large infrastructure) but a separate portal where we
could have more control over what is happening with our cloud services
(for production environments). From our tests with the public platform
we found that we were quite limited with the specified quotas and that
we frequently ran into errors while trying to set up new instances. Is a
separate FIWARE platform possible?

We found FIWARE Ops and the IT Toolbox, but we haven't been able to find
any documentation on a full procedure to turn an IT Toolbox-built node
into a FIWARE-like environment, with identity management, store etc. Is
this possible (maybe even out of IT Toolbox?) or are we limited to
running virtual images of GEs on a standard OpenStack installation and
figuring out by ourselves how to connect them?

Best Regards,
Marko Kuder
