[Fiware-tech-help] CEP - Orion integration

Hi Lars,

Usually these kind of errors are because the event definition is the CEP
doesn't match Orion message:
1. When the Orion message is translated to an input CEP event, one of the
properties in the message from Orion is not defined as event property in
the CEP event definition.
2. When the CEP tries to build an Orion message from output event, one of
the mandatory attributes for event that need to be sent to Orion is
missing.

To solve it, you need to follow the user guide appendix and make sure you
followed the instructions there about the input and output event
definition when integrating with Orion. When you sure you did that, and
that the CEP is working with the right definition (you need to export the
updated definition from the Authoring tool, and then to Stop the CEP and
start it again), if you still see the same exception, please write me
again and include the updated CEP definition file and the log file.

I copied the the help desk, to have it documented.

Best regards,
Tali

Hi Tali,

When using Proton, in combination with Orion, we keep getting one and the
same error (see CEPlogfile.txt in the attachment). We looked at the
answer(s) given at https://jira.fiware.org/browse/HELP-3711 (which
mentions the same error), and have installed and deployed the WAR-file
again as suggested. Also, regarding the proton.properties file, it does
not point to EmptyDefinitions.json. In fact, it does now point to the
LiveDemo.json file (where we have added our own event this time, using the
AuthoringTool). However, the same error still remains.

Would you have any other suggestions than the ones in the above link? It
would be very much appreciated indeed, since elsewhere we have not found
any possible solution. In the attachment of this mail you'll also find the
proton.properties file, and the message sent by Orion. If other
information is needed, please do let us know.

One other question regarding the port numbers 3002 and 3302: where do
these in fact point to?

Kind regards,
Lars
