> Recently people who are looking at South African renewable power market include CSP are somewhat worried about Eskom’s intention to quit signing PPA with Independent Power Producers (IPPs) under REIPPPP. Resources say, as a matter of fact, the main reason is that Eskom is to keep the stability of grid considering the possible negative impacts from renewables. 
> Anyhow, it is not quite necessary for the industry players to lose confidence on CSP future development, as CSP has been a crucial part of South African sustainable development strategy. The introduction of IPPs contributes greatly to the diversification of both the supply and nature of solar power production. And the government attaches great importance on realizing national renewable energy capacity building and procurement objectives by establishing IPP Office under Department of Energy (DoE), National Treasury (NT) and Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA).
