[Fiware-tech-help] Publishing open data in CKAN global instance in FIWARE Lab

Dear Francisco, Sergio and tech team,

Is it really the case that the FIWARE Lab users can not publish data in the global instance of CKAN in FIWARE Lab? I was a bit taken a back by this sentence in a Stackoverflow posting:
“The Global Instance of CKAN cannot be used by regular users of FIWARE for publishing private data, it is only intended for reading open datasets. If you have an (already created and stored somewhere else) open dataset you can publish it by contacting the instance administrators.“
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/32824925/cygnus-to-ckan-runtime-error

Isn’t CKAN supposed to be an environment for both reading and publishing open data? This is something we always used to tell in FIWARE trainings. Is there a particular limitation on the FIWARE Lab global instance that we should be aware of?

We need to publish some context data for a PoC. Do we need to contact the instance administrators for this? Who would that be?

Thanks very much in advance for clarifying.

Kind regards,

ilknur
