[Fiware-technical-committee] main/deputy chapter leaders

At nomination time (now), we could say that between 3 and 5 individual
members will be elected. If the elections for individual members happen in
parallel with those for chapter leadership -- we will know at the same
time 1) how many and 2) who, so can announce together.

Regards,
Alex

dear alex,

it could, but it seems to ne strange to say to people "look we will tell
you if you are elected as we have to know firts how many chapters
representives we will gain", isn't it?

Well, it could work either way -- if, for example, among the 8 chapters we
have only 12 TSC representatives (because of duplication, or because in
some chapters there are less than 2 candidates) - we could limit the
number of individual members to 4. We don't necessarily need to decide in
advance on the number of individual members.

Alex

dear alex,

I think there is a bit of confusion in the roles that are subject to
elections now.
Most (if not all) the nominations refer to chapter representation in TSC
-- which is relevant, but, in my opinion, the more important part has to
do with the role of chapter leaders - main and deputy - who are supposed
to run the ongoing work in the chapter.
Do we need to clarify this distinction, or we think that people understand
this?

perhaps the invitation email is not completely clear, but the governance
it is, i mean chapter representatives in the tsc are the leader and
his/her deputy.

By the way, do we have any issue having the same person as a leader of
several chapters? Maybe we need to clarify this point in the governance
model (in any case I assume that such a person would still have one vote
in TSC).

in the governance we did not specify this point by intention as indeed it
may happen that a person may represent in the tsc more then a chapter. in
this case it is correct he/she has as many votes as many chapter he/she
represents. if not the balance towards the individual class
representatives (jusr remembreing individual representatives are 1/3 of
the chapters representatives) is not kept.

ciao,
stefano

Regards,
Alex
