[Fiware-technical-committee] Holidays not only in Madrid :-) - cancelling the FIWARE Technical Committee

Dear Juanjo and all,

I will be out of office next Monday, so I will not be able to attend the next TC meeting.

Regarding the Action point AP-16.04.18-2, I just sent an email to Manuel with the draft Incubated GE evaluation criteria to check if we currently have any mechanisms to check these. Below is the draft criteria I am proposing based on the governance model:

GE Adoption:
-              number of downloads for the GE (access to source code on Github, downloads of RPMs, Docker images, etc.)
-              number of applications/users experimenting and/or using the GE from FIWARE Lab (global instance or through images, blueprints, etc.)
-              number of views on the GE documentation (Readthedocs page, etc.)
-              number of views on the catalogue page
-              number of views on the wiki page for the GE open specification
-              number of views in the relevant course in the FIWARE academy
-              number of tickets (questions/comments) related to the GE in the HELP desk, fiware.ask.org or Stack Overflow (excluding the bug reports or sprint work items, etc. created internally)
-              number of feedback requesting modifications and/or extensions (in FIWARE mailing lists, HELP desk or ask.org, or other forums)
-              Existence of an industrial roadmap (i.e. if the owner organization has plans to promote the GE and FIWARE in their products, or other projects, etc..)

Quality of support:
-              ratio of tickets responded vs tickets created (in JIRA, Stack Overflow, fiware.ask.org)
-              average response time by the GE owners to the tickets
-              ratio of bugs fixed over bugs identified

Potentially, it could also be worth considering the quality/maturity of the GE in the evaluation, i.e. to add something like the following to the criteria, but it would require some resources from the Foundation:
Maturity of GE:
-       Number of tests available (by the GE owners)
-       Results from functional and/or non-functional evaluation (this would require some testing action by some team from the foundation)

I will let you know once I hear back from Manuel regarding this topic. At that point we can define a more concrete version of  this criteria,  based on what is feasible to measure, what thresholds can be used, etc.

   I have learnt that today is not only holidays in Madrid but also in France and Germany ...

   Therefore, let's postpone the FIWARE TC until May 23th.

   Regarding FIWARE TC elections, a significant number of applications
were received.   I'll send around info about next steps along today.   I
will also produce the pre-minutes of next FIWARE TC so that those who have pending APs on them can elaborate on the status prior next FIWARE TC meeting.
