Dear FIWARE Chapter Active Contributor,

You are receiving this mail because you were designated as active
contributor to one of several FIWARE/Incubated GEs.

You can check the current Census of FIWARE Chapter Active
Contributors
<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xlCLZ2CwtTG6l59S8d7E8gqXOcZqmLSRDdVSxjRTy2U/edit?usp=sharing>
and check whether you have been properly registered.  If you find
anything wrong, please don't hesitate to contact us at the FIWARE
Foundation.

People designated as Top Contributors are able to edit the provided
file.  You probably know those who have been designated as Top
Contributors of the FIWARE/Incubated GEs for which you have been
endorsed as active contributor. You can also check what FIWARE Chapter
your FIWARE/Incubated GE has been included in. This will determine what
FIWARE Chapter(s) you are considered active contributor to.

As FIWARE Chapter Active Contributor, you will be able to elect the
new members of the FIWARE TSC that will replace the current one.   We
count on you for this very important election process.

In addition, you can also run for the election to become a member of
the FIWARE TSC.  If you get elected, one condition you should comply
with for taking the seat is that of becoming individual member of the
FIWARE Foundation (note that individual membership is free).   Check how
to join <https://www.fiware.org/join/> for further details.

Categories and number of FIWARE TSC seats are defined as follows:

  * one seat per FIWARE Foundation Platinum Member: 5 in total
  * two seats per FIWARE Chapter (see chapters in census file) to be
elected from Active Contributors to that chapter: 20 in total
  * up to 1/3 of the previous seats linked to "remarkable individuals"
who are widely recognized by their overall technical contribution to
    FIWARE: 8 in total
  * maximum number of seats: 33

FIWARE Chapter Active Contributors are the only ones who can apply
for seats linked to FIWARE Chapters.  They are the only ones who can
vote in the elections.  Any member of the FIWARE Community can apply for
seats linked to remarkable individuals.

More details about FIWARE TSC elections can be found in section V.4
of the FIWARE Foundation bylaws <https://www.fiware.org/foundation/bylaws/>.

The following calendar will be followed for running elections:

  * May 8th End of Day: deadline for sending candidatures to the FIWARE
    TSC.  Please use this form
    <https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfZl-TVTPfncxFYtHNPCjztz6Q7rhl42-k2xKQ8pgqUw03kyg/viewform?usp=sf_link>
    for applying.
  * From May 9th to May 12th: voting of candidates for FIWARE Chapter
seats (we will come back to you with list of candidates and concrete
    mechanism for voting)
  * May 13th: announcement of FIWARE Chapter seats
  * May 13th to May 17th: voting of candidates for seats linked to
remarkable individuals (we will come back to you with list of
candidates and concrete mechanism for voting)

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

We look forward your active contribution to this very important
process within the FIWARE Community.

   Best regards,

--
