Hi Miguel, all, According to the current DOW document (of which I do not have the final version, as you know :-), WebUI is doing the following (see text after each of the Tasks in WP1.5., page 200ff). The is just the summary from there and I am sending that to all involved so we are all on the same page here: -- 2D-UI will be folded into the 3D-UI and will stop being maintained as a GE. -- We will focus more on the integration between the two 3D-UI GEs but they will both continue to exist. -- The Synch GE will continue to exist as the elimination was a missunderstanding by the reviewers. We will integrate it tightly with the Context-Broker GE but it will NOT be folded into it. -- As a result we will also keep maintaining the alternate, stand-alone version of the Sync GE (FiVES). -- 2D/3D-Capture GE will be stopped and we will remove that GE (deprecation process). We should start this soon. -- POI will continue to exist but the plan is to maybe fold this into the ContextBroker once NGSI v2 is supported. But this remains to be seen. For now there are no changes -- GIS remains the same -- Cloud Rendering will be stopped within WebUI/FI-Core but we can probably maintain it based on an external project. So no changes other than no more efforts. -- Display as a Services is gone anyway (but would have been an extremely good success story, we are just founding a company around it and have large industry projects with it. -- Real-Virtual, Virtual Character, and Interface Designer will be stopped and possibly be deprecated. THis needs to be determined. -- For AR we will stop development in FI-Core but there may be chances that we can maintain and extend this with an external project. So it will stay around for now. There are some final efforts ongoing bringing it into compliance with OpenSource rules but this should be finished soon. Let me know if there in case there is anything wrong here.
