[Fiware-wpa] Draft agenda for the review_comments

Hi Juanjo,

 

Is the agenda for the review already closed?

 

Find here few comments that could help to improve it:

 

·         Intro extremely long (90 minutes). It's not a very "agile" introduction. It sounds too long and too focused on internal project management.

·         At some point in the agenda, we think it is necessary to include a presentation about how all the different WPs are working together, and how they are interrelated (possibly after the "Developer Community and Tools WP" slot). Currently it sounds like a collection of WPs, with no connection among them.   

·         Too many sessions: risk of running overtime.

Did you discuss with Arian about it? I know my colleague Juan Bareño, as leader of WP11, contacted you to include a slot on business aspects at least to show the progress made in that WP since this one has been running from the very beginning of the project and reviewers may want to know what work has been done there.

It would be useful to know your discussions with the Commission to check their expectations in some of these areas.

Hi all,

  Please find enclosed the draft agenda of the first official review meeting that will take place on November 22nd in Brussels.

  As you see, we have booked a 30 mins presentation for each of the WPs linked to FI-WARE chapters.   I would recommend that you prepare a maximum of 10-12 slides.   I already provide some hints about how to structure these presentations last Friday.   Don't hesitate to make any question or share any doubt you may have.    A first complete draft of the presentation for your chapter is expected by EOB this Wednesday.

  Again, following is the index you should develop in your presentations (please follow the titles):

*	"<name-of-chapter> Vision (<x>/<y>)" (follow the convention 1/3, 2/3, 3/3 on the title to distinguish among the several slides).   These should be 3 slides to elaborate on the vision and the description of the most important GEs. 
*	"Focus for the first release".   This is one, maximum two slides elaborating on what you expect FI-WARE to deliver for the first major release (planned to be delivered by end of April 2012 and available on the FI-WARE testbed by end of July 2012.
*	"Response to comments by reviewers".  These should be slides addressing reviewers' comments to their revision of the first release of the FI-WARE Product Vision deliverable (check my email also sent last Friday)


  Thomas: I would ask you to prepare a presentation about FI-WARE in the context of the FI-PPP (part of introduction timeslot at the beginning of the review).   There, you have to elaborate on the relationship between UC projects in FI-WARE, how we are approaching the interaction with them, etc.

  Nuria: You have to prepare a few slides (3-4) on collaboration activities.   They should align with contents of the report on Collaboration activities that Miguel has already asked you to complete on the Wiki (note there was a report on Collaboration activities deliverable that was due end of October)

  Matteo/Stephano: the presentation on developers tools will not contain a "response to comments by reviewers", therefore you may not need the 30 mins.

  Miguel: the slides reporting on resources consumption and whatever else may be relevant about the management report will go in the last timeslot.
