The main point comes with the ECFI2 preparation because it is expected to have a FI-WARE booth with concrete demos while in ECFI (beginning of April) we did not have any demo and the UC projects have their own demos.
So the point is to have some short demos to demonstrate in this kind of event that we have real running softwares and also that we are progressing on packaging. The demo we used for the review is too long to be use in a stand during 3 or 5 mn. (the time you can attract someone and push him to go on FI-Lab to do more)
Juanjo has proposed to use some of the demos with Smart Cities data that we can have for the hackatons but based on the EC comments, we do not have to focus only on Smart Cities, it is also good to have a short demo per chapter which could involve 2,3 or 4 GEs. More than that will be difficult to keep the 3 or 5 mn for the demo. I would say that the point is not to show specifically a demo per chapter but it is easier to prepare that per chapter for the integration work first, and for the presentation on the stand also (anyone from the chapter should be able to explain how 2 or 3 GEs from his chapter are working together)
One of the ideas I will investigate is also to have this short demo synchronized with a UC project phase 2. Typically in IoT we have interactions with FiT-Man and FI-Star so showing the GEs part they have integrated is also a good example of collaboration and how our GEs are useful for an application domain.

I do not think that the purpose of the demo is to cover each and every GE. You can have a selection of them (nothing precludes from mentioning others when you talk "this demo could be extended doing this or that with GE x"). The format should be similar to the Live Demo we have now and the duration cannot be too long, I would advocate to have something ranging from 10 to 20 minutes.
The most important events in the near future I am aware of are:
* Future Internet Forum (FIF) 16/17 June (this is too early)
* Chambers of Commerce Brussels( mid June?)
* Campus Party Mexico - last week of June?
* Campus Party Madrid 8-13 September
* ECFI 2 Munich 17-18 September
* TechCrunch Disrupt Europe, London, 20-21 October
There may be more and the dates may have mistakes, but this is the info I have up to now. I do not know if end of June is a bit tight, I do not know what Juanjo thinks.
We already have per-GE demo's (as part of the education materials), and the project-wide demo - what would be the benefit to do it at the chapter granularity?
Well, this was agreed in the WPL confcall (proposed by Thierry) and no one opposed it, in fact the reaction was positive.
Are we going to have separate per-chapter demo stands at some of those events?
I guess not!
Also, do we have coverage for all the partners leaving at M36 to ensure proper contributions to the demos?
I would not expect a extreme commitment from those who have their people in other projects already. We would get "best effort support" in most cases. I would tend not to encourage them to join such demos. In fact, they theoretically are not going to contribute further work and if you think about it, they cannot report any effort after M36.
Sorry if this has been discussed already - I am attending the OpenStack Summit at Atlanta this week, so couldn't join the call yesterday.

Dear all,
As agreed yesterday [1], I send you dedicated message to start the
creation of a demo per chapter.
Apart from the Live Demo that we have now, it was agreed to create a
live demo per chapter. This implies internal discussion in each WP and a
proposal for general discussion.
Each WPL must discuss this internally in his/her WP and come back to us
with a proposal.
We will follow up in next Monday's call , where I would expect to have a
rough idea of what each WP intends to offer.
