I have worked with Lutz in the past (jointly chairing the European Cloud
Expert Group) and can highly recommend him.

Hi all,

Our PO would like to perform a better assessment of the software
associated to GEi by means of involving a reputed expert with higher
technical skills than the current team of reviewers.

For this reason, he has proposed Lutz Schubert whose CV is attached.

Unles we hear of any justified objections to his proposal before
Wednesday noon, we will return an ok to our PO.

  Thanks and best regards,

-- Juanjo

Dear all,

During FI-WARE reviews, the assessment of the prototypes is mostly based
on the demos. I would like to have a better assessment of the prototypes,
independent from the normal FI-WARE reviews. Therefore, I have asked Lutz
Schubert from the University of Ulm (formerly with HLRS Stuttgart) if he
would be willing to carry out such a task, and he kindly accepted. His
assessment will take during the summer period, and will result in a
report. The report will be shared with the consortium and the reviewers,
but will not be formally part of the M24 or later reviews. Lutz will get a
standard EC review contract, and therefore his participation as a reviewer
needs to be approved by the consortium.

Therefore,
- Could you please give your approval for having Lutz as a
reviewer (CV attached)? This is a necessary formal step.
- Since I cannot imagine any valid reason for not having Lutz as
a reviewer (commercial confidentiality being the only valid reason and
that does not apply), can you please give him access to all software
prototypes? I have access to public and confidential software, but the
'normal' reviewers do not. Lutz needs to have that too, obviously. Perhaps
it is more practical to give him access to the testbed / OIL? What can be
done here?

Best regards,
Arian.
