Find here a reminder for ALL WPL/A --> please, come back to me TODAY with the availability of your teams for the events that I listed yesterday (find the VERY URGENT ONES BELOW).

Let me add another one to the list that I forgot.

      Startup Weekend Lisbon - Special Edition (13-16.11.2014)
      Requirement: 2 FIWARE experts to execute the training (Bootcamp) and execute the mentoring during the SW

Some of you already appear on the list of potential speakers. If you are aware of being part of one of the events, please, let me know too.

As said, and for the sake of easing the process, I expect the leaders precisely to manage their teams and come with the available people from their chapters (including yourself, of course). Accelerators and other organizations have to close the agendas!!!

Dear all,

As you have read in previous e-mails circulated by Juanjo and Miguel, we will use new communication channels for internal discussions and for the connection with "outsiders".
We need some time until all the new rules are clear.

Unfortunately there are still some actions that need to be addressed immediately and for which I need to address all partners.

Some events still require the assignment of technical speakers. Accelerators will be trained in the future in order to scale these activities and they will also be redirected to the "agreed" bootcamps. However, giving a bad image ignoring some of these opportunities/appointments at this very moment (just after the launch of the Acceleration programme) may put FIWARE in a very negative position. In order to avoid this, find below the list of most urgent events for which we need FIWARE ambassadors and especially technical experts.

All WPL/A, come to me with an answer on all of them if possible today or tomorrow the very latest (do not include everyone in CC to avoid overloads).

      FIWARE TechCamp (organized by the Speed UP! Accelerator)
      Stockholm 27-28 or 28-29 October
      Kista Entrepreneurship Center (the silicon valley" in Europe)
      Request for 2 FIWARE techies

      Same request from same Accelerator (lower priority because of we just got the request, but good if we can somehow cover it)
      TechCamp in Denmark (Arhus or Copenhagen, TBC)
      23rd of October

      TechCamp + Startup Weekend in Berlin (15-19 October)

      We need experts to cover the Bootcamp (I really thought this was being managed by the WPL)

            FIWARE Tech Camp, Berlin - 15-16 October
            StartupWeekend FIWARE special edition: Smart Cities - 17-19 October.
            [Organizers], it would be very useful to have an expert in the FICONTENT SEs, specifically for Smart Cities (which is the theme of our StartupWeekend) and for gaming. (Our EuropeanPioneers Accelerator focuses specifically on the areas in which the SEs are deployed: Smart Cities, Gaming, Social Connected TV, so they are particularly important for us).
            Based on this I would make a pre-assignment to DFKI, as representative of both FIWARE and FI-CONTENT. Philipp, which additional chapter/s (expert/s) would make more sense to combine with your expertise?

      BaseCamp (FIC3 accelerator project)
      13-16 November (Rennes/France)


The need for a response is URGENT. I especially encourage IBM, ORANGE, DFKI and THALES to volunteer for some of those ones. If not I will pre-assign them to you if there is no more availability (Telefónica, Enginering, UPM, Atos already covered a good amount of events even though still invited to contribute). I already assigned a couple of previous events to Telecom Italia, but please, get in contact with me if you can still make it).

And please, bear in mind that WPL/A have the responsibility to coordinate this within their WPs, so the request is for organizing speakers and not only a personal request to you. That's why answer from all of you is MANDATORY.
